Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the LusterBook platform and services. It is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Violations of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.

1. Intended Use

LusterBook is designed exclusively for legitimate mobile auto detailing businesses and professionals. The Service should be used to manage real appointments with real clients for genuine detailing services.

You must have the legal right to operate your detailing business in your service area, including any required business licenses, insurance, and permits.

2. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use the Service to:

2.1 Fraudulent or Deceptive Practices

• Create fake bookings, inflated client lists, or fictitious business data

• Misrepresent your services, pricing, qualifications, or business credentials to clients through the booking system

• Use the platform to collect payments for services you do not intend to perform

• Manipulate weather data or risk indicators to mislead clients about rescheduling needs

2.2 Abuse of the Platform

• Attempt to circumvent subscription limits, access controls, or billing mechanisms

• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to interact with the Service

• Overload the Service with excessive API requests or artificially high usage designed to degrade performance

• Share, resell, or sublicense your account access to third parties

• Create multiple accounts to avoid subscription fees or to circumvent a suspension

2.3 Harmful Content & Behavior

• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any content designed to harm the Service or other users

• Use the Service to harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against any person

• Use client data collected through the Service for purposes unrelated to your detailing business (e.g., unauthorized marketing, data selling)

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, data, or the Service's infrastructure

2.4 Legal Violations

• Use the Service in violation of any applicable local, state, federal, or international law or regulation

• Use the Service to facilitate money laundering, tax evasion, or other financial crimes

• Violate any third-party rights including intellectual property, privacy, or contractual rights

3. Public Booking Pages

Your public booking page (your LusterBook scheduling link) represents both your business and the LusterBook platform. You agree to:

• Only list services you are qualified and equipped to perform

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date pricing, service descriptions, and availability

• Respond to booking requests in a timely manner

• Honor confirmed appointments or communicate changes promptly

4. Client Data Responsibilities

You are responsible for the client data you enter into the Service. You agree to:

• Obtain appropriate consent from clients before entering their personal information

• Use client data only for the purpose of providing and managing detailing services

• Not export, share, or sell client data obtained through the Service for unrelated commercial purposes

• Keep client data accurate and up to date

5. API & Integration Usage

If you use the optional Stripe integration or interact with any LusterBook features that interface with third-party APIs, you agree to:

• Use your own valid API keys and credentials

• Not use another user's API keys or impersonate another business

• Comply with the terms of service of the relevant third-party provider (e.g., Stripe)

• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or misuse LusterBook's own API integrations

6. Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action in response to violations of this AUP, including:

• Issuing a warning and requesting corrective action

• Temporarily suspending your access to the Service

• Permanently terminating your account

• Reporting illegal activities to appropriate law enforcement authorities

We will attempt to provide notice before taking enforcement action where practical, but reserve the right to act immediately where we determine there is an imminent risk of harm to the Service, its users, or third parties.

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any activity that violates this AUP, please report it to support@lusterbook.com. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
